With a nod to famous journalist and activist Gloria Steinem, Deep Site Recordings brings you the brand-new ‘Steinem’ E.P. from KIZT including remix support from Igor Brzovic and Funtom. On the original mix of ‘Steinem’, the listener is treated to a sample of Gloria speaking as the track sprinkles soothing chords and tight percussion on a minimal tip. Igor Brzovic’s mix strips it down even further with crafty sampling and a masterful use of dynamics. The sounds of ‘Arabian Deep’ evoke a sense of adventure as the breakdown transports you to far away lands. The playful sampling found in the original mix of ‘Find Me’ stirs childhood memories of hide-and-seek. On Funtom’s Mix of ‘Find Me’, Winston Churchill’s wartime speech is sampled at the start serving as a reminder that global turmoil continues to exist. The track then blossoms with mesmerizing sweeps and warm synths providing comfort like rays of sunshine, making you feel at one with the self and surrounding world.
